Just got back from Mexico!

Playa Del Carmen, Mexico (view from our roof deck)

The only word to describe this vacation: incredible. I find BPM more intriguing because unlike Winter Music Conference, BPM is small, there are two parties (day & night) to choose from. So if you do not fancy one of them you are free to do your own thing, like go on ATV’s, jetskiing, speed boating, or out to dinner and not feel like your missing out on anything. BPM conference is like WMC in paradise.

The party on Friday night, Michelangelo & Victor Calderone @ The Blue Parrot was awesome. Just the right amount of people, cool breeze, right on the beach. After-hours we headed over to Bang Beach Club & Bar followed by at least 50 people, walking through the streets of Mexico. Michelangelo, Lauren Lane, & Nitin kept the party going til early afternoon.

Saturday we went back to The Blue Parrot for Sharam & Craig Pettigrew. I had no expectations for this party since I was very tired from the night before, but this party did not disappoint and I danced from the moment I walked in til they kicked everyone out. That being said, this is definitely going into my date book for next year, BPM Conference 2010!!

The 2009 BPM Festival

16 12 2008

January 2nd through the 11th in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

BPM Festival Co-producer and Circa Director Craig Pettigrew says, “We’re excited to return to Playa del Carmen for the 2nd year with our team of nightlife professionals. The festival provides the perfect escape after the clubbing industry’s busiest season and a welcome respite from the cold. With its numerous nightclubs and beautiful pristine beaches, Playa del Carmen is the newest ‘IT’ destination for global clubbing.”

“The daytime beach party sessions will kick off each day with a world-class DJ line-up. At night, the stunning lineup of Artists confirmed so far include; Get Physical’s two-headed beast M.A.N.D.Y., flying Dutchman SANDER KLEINENBERG, the ‘King of Space’ STEVE LAWLER, getting weirder by the minute LEE BURRIDGE, Crosstown Rebels head honcho DAMIAN LAZARUS, Spanish house heartthrob PABLO CEBALLOS [of Chus & Ceballos], Sharam [of Deep Dish] and Toronto’s rising star SEAN MILLER, alongside an ever-expanding line up to be announced over the coming months. Also, Circa residents DOMAN+PETTIGREW will be performing at an exotic underground cave party for a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience!”

okay okay, plus with Victor Calderone & Michelangelo on Friday, i’m convinced!
